Labor Day-Deer Lake

As I mentioned in our fair post, we headed to the cabin late Friday night.  Got the kids to sleep and got to enjoy time by the camp fire with my cousins Katie, Smokey, Tim and Kate.  Good time just chillaxing with the cousins!  Saturday, hung out with the kids at the cabin.  Since the kids liked hiking so much at Maren's cabin, we headed on a hike with the kids and Katie near our cabin.  Unfortunately, the bugs were horrible and we got attacked by mosquitoes.  And, we didn't find any berries to eat!  Weather wasn't wonderful, but it didn't stop Anna from wanting to swim.  Had to get one last batch of rice krispies in for the last full weekend at Deer Lake until Christmas time. We enjoyed time with my cousins and Pam & Dick, but it was sad to not have my mom & sister with us over Labor Day weekend.  Kristin was helping a dog find a home and my mom was still on her cruise.  We are especially thankful to the eagle ridge gang for helping with the kids during that time.  On Sunday, we cleaned out cupboards and were surprised to find something that was in the cabin that was moved from the old cabin.  Oldest bottle award goes to something that was best by 1978!  That means that bottle is older than a lot of people in the cabin!
