Seussical





We were lucky enough to be invited to attend the premiere of Seussical to benefit St. Jude's.  The kids set up a lemonade stand that week to give to the charity (they each got st. jude's bracelets and were able to give them to kids in the hospital too). 

The premiere was awesome!  They had a red carpet and all sorts of Seuss themed foods-green eggs & ham (green deviled eggs) being our favorite.  

 

 

 

 

Family Camp

We spent the weekend up at Danburry, WI at Luther Park.  Had another fabulous weekend together including fellowship with other families and ourselves.  Friday night was campfire and singing the Hippo song again!  Saturday morning, we learned about David and Simon and different ways to anoit people.  My favorite was making crosses on the kids heads with oil and talking about our names, what they mean and where they came from.  Saturday afternoon was fun time on the lake together.  Had dinner and then some time just with parents as the kids got to play games!  Then, more good campfire time with smores.  It was great to make new friends and enrich our friendships with those we know.  WE LOVE FAMILY CAMP!

Valleyfair

We had a blast spending the day at Valleyfair!  Paul took the day off and we crammed in tons of fun!  Antique cars, kids rides, Ferris Wheel, and even got some time in the water park area!  Alex didn't cry on one single ride-this was a victory as even in Disney world he wasn't happy all the time!  We didn't leave until close to 8:30!  Fun was had by all!  Love me some good old fashioned Mattson day of fun!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fathers Day Weekend at Green Lake

We celebrated the remainder of Fathers day weekend at Green Lake.  Got the bunk beds in our room which were a huge hit for all the cousins!  Anna read all her Chinese books to great grandma and her cousins.  She has been practicing a lot!  On Sunday, Grandma Mattson took some of the kids tubing-Anna, Logan and Alex!  Was proud of my kids for getting out there (it was Alex's first time!)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fathers Day for Paul

We celebrated Fathers day for Paul on Friday night.  We bought Paul a tent and camped out in the backyard.  Friday, we made breakfast burritos for Saturday breakfast.  Anna had soccer practice and we came home to pitch the tent and made hot dogs and smores on the fire.  We slept decently until 5:30 and came inside.  Unfortunately, when we woke up later that morning we realized it had rained in our tent after we left.  We made the burritos in the oven since it was raining and capped off fun time with Paul!  

 

 

 

 

Swimming in Hastings

Had a great day swimming with Katie and Pam and my mom at Camp Hastings!  Alex was a jumping and swimming machine and Anna showed off her skills too!  Had a blast as usual.  Alex was sleeping before we hit the highway!
