Anna's Birthday
Our little girl is six! Where has the time gone? Her actual birthday was pretty low key as she had school that day. Got to have waffles for breakfast, lunch at school with her friends and come home to get new books at the library and Anna requested soup and sandwiches (soup IS her favorite) for dinner!
Anna's party was the following Saturday at Michaels. All the girls from her class, her cousins, Aly, Ava and Lauren joined in the crafty party. Everyone made their own perler bead creations. The girls also got to make their own cupcakes that contributed to her birthday cake! The highlight of the party was the girls singing happy birthday over the loud speaker in english and chinese!

Paul was presented with a future for a trip to the BWCA with his family!

Easter Weekend
We got ready for Easter weekend by making bunny treats, courtesy of pinterest! Paul and the kids hung out Good Friday during the day (mini golfing, lunch at Lions Tap) while I got some much needed time with my girl friends. Good Friday, I sang the Last 7 words of Christ. It was an amazing night. Saturday was more practice for Easter-3 services to sing that morning! We celebrated Easter at Kiki's house with her, Tammy and my mom. We enjoyed a wonderful meal, cuddled and napped in kiki's bed with the kids and brought the doggies to the dog park :)

Chutes & Ladders Park with Cousins
We enjoyed a nice stay-cation at home during spring break after our brief trip to WI Dells. The kids and I enjoyed a nice week of weather and had lots of fun! One of the highlights of the day was meeting Tiffany, our cousins and Grandma Mattson for picnic lunch and playtime at Chutes & Ladders in Bloomington! The kids had a blast and never crashed after being outside all afternoon. Capped off the day with ice cream treats! Kids also enjoyed time with friends and mini hops camp for a half day too during the week.

Spring Break-via Wisconsin Dells
We spent the first part of spring break going to Wisconsin Dells. It was a nice way to get away for a short while before the holy week extravaganza at church for me. We left Thursday and came home Sunday. We brought along auntie Kiki because she wanted to spend Spring Break with us and couldn't resist the kids! We stayed at Wilderness Resort and loved it. 4 indoor water parks, 2 indoor mini golf courses and an indoor play area are all in the resort! Anna told us all we needed to pack was our swimsuits and pajamas.
As soon as we arrived, we had to get our swimsuits on and try out a waterpark. Tried the giant wave (it goes off every few minutes with huge waves you can "ride on". Had dinner at the resort that night and slept well. The next day, the kids raced dukes in the lazy river (alex won a prize) and we played at Klondike Cavern and Cubby cove with a short break for lunch and painting pottery with Kiki. That night, we had dinner at Moosejaw.
Saturday, we met up with our friends from church who we knew were also at the same resort. We played together at the waterdome and in the waves most of the day. The kids never grew tired of being in the water. That night, we had dinner in town and tried a fried peanut butter/banana sandwich topped with chocolate. YUM.
Sunday, we checked out and were able to stay at the park as long as we wanted. Met up with our friends again at Wild West area and swam all morning. Capped off our trip with a visit to the pizza ranch for lunch. Classy!
Fun was had by all. Alex was pooped by the time we were done. Kiki was tired of all the chaos when we left too. As for the rest of us, we could have stayed one more day.
