July 4th-Deer Lake

Another fun jam packed long weekend--spent at both cabins! Friday we headed to Deer Lake with Kiki & Cooper after dance camp for Anna. Since it was super duper hot and we couldn't leave Cooper in the car, we opted for a Panino picnic in the car!!

Friday we spent the day trying not to roast. It was very hot. We were all in the water to try and cool down and enjoyed the AC in the cabin. Kids enjoyed some strawberry pie, courtesy of Pam.

Saturday morning, the kids requested mickey waffles which my mom & pam made sure happened. Pam bought the kids matching July 4th t-shirts. Kids enjoyed wearing them and the Mickey waffles. Potty boot camp for Alex began this weekend and he has been doing great--including putting the potty on the deck....had to be done since we did it for Anna 2 years ago!




We spent a lot of time in the lake-some more than others. Anna is our little fish. She was working on her jumping to me & Paul skills and never quits. Alex was less interested in the lake swimming. That changed later on in the weekend.

Smokey & Katie took the kids fishing on Saturday afternoon with their fishing poles. Both kids were able to have success, with their help.

We watched fireworks that night and enjoyed time together Sunday at Deer Lake as well-including a kayak ride for just Paul and I. Kids got a rest before heading over to Green Lake where more fun awaited!!
