Alex's First Day

Baby boy was named by dinner time March 21st, Alexander Paul. We'll call him Alex, or Lex (if we're feeling sassy), or maybe even Xander. We were surprised when we "came to" the next morning to discover 7+ inches of snow had fallen since we went to the hospital. Alex's visitors started early, around 8:30 with my sister, proud Auntie Kristin. We were moved to our post partum room and settled in. The grandmas and Anna arrived around 10:30. Anna said "baby" and didn't have much else to say. She was excited to get her new Elmo dress from auntie and tell her friends on mommys phone about her escapes with the grandmas. We had a revolving door of visitors over the day. They included friends Mel, Whitney, Maren, Docia & Chris, Melissa & Eric and proud Auntie Tiffany and Uncle Craig, with Katelyn & Brooklyn in toe. Meanwhile, Paul and I enjoyed bonding with Alex and watching a lot of basketball. Of course, we were glued to the TV during the nice gopher hockey victory that night. Alex starts off his life with a gopher win, grandpa Paul would be proud!
