Vacation in the Dells

Paul, the kids and I headed to Wisconsin Dells Saturday the 23rd. The kids did great in the car, after a stop for lunch in Hudson. We arrived around 4:30 and got settled into our cabin. We enjoyed the week at Christmas Mountain Resort with Paul's extended family...all his mom's immediate family was present, as were Paul's cousins. We shared a cabin with Craig, Tiffany, Katelyn and Brooklyn. Anna & Katelyn thought this was the best part, but they do manage to get into a lot of trouble when they're together! We spent a lot of time at the resort, but Monday headed to the Upper Dells for a boat tour & the lower dells with a Duck boat. Fun times, especially in our matching family reunion shirts! That night, the cousins (well, at least some of us) headed out for cousin night...mini golfing and then Paul, Craig, Tiff & I decided to do the stratosphere ride (which in retrospect was a horrible idea...something about it being half off persuaded all of us). We didn't do a whole lot else other than spend time together. Our friends Mike & Lynda that live in Madison met up with us one night and stayed (the guys golfed in the morning) and we went out to dinner with them and their daughter Kahla before they went back home. All in all, a good time away with the family.
