A Very Elmo Christmas

We had a very busy and Merry Christmas! As Anna's new word is Elmo, she got a lot of Elmo things. Saturday, the 22nd we celebrated with Grandma & Grandpa Mattson, Cousin Katelyn and Auntie Tiffany & Uncle Craig at our house. Anna got a great plush Elmo chair from Grandma & Grandpa, along with elmo shoes (that light up) and a cute table & chairs. She got a cool balance beam from her cousin and they were able to check it out that day!

Sunday, we went to church and headed up to Grandma & Grandpa's at the lake for Christmas with the Neffs. Anna brought along her elmo chair so she had proper seating. She was again spoiled and we tried to get pictures of the girls in their Christmas dresses, but weren't very successful. Anna got an Elmo book and a little elmo that talks every time you shake it! That night, we headed to Auntie Kristin's to watch the Vikings...what a disappointment, but a wise man (the big guy himself) once said "they'll break your heart every time."

Monday was Christmas Eve. Kristin, Mom and I went to see "Juno"--good flick, with great MN references, while Anna enjoyed some rest and Paul worked hard on getting all the presents in order. That night, we went to Benihana for dinner and church (had to sing both night services, so they came to see my first service).

Tuesday, we were blessed with a sleeping Anna. We woke up at 10AM! I think I can safely say that will be the last time in a long time we'll be able to sleep that long on Christmas morning. Anna was greeted by her new kitchen, a gift from Santa. We were able to start opening presents and then were joined by Kristin and my Mom. We enjoyed brunch and watching Anna open all her presents...she was a very very spoiled girl! Anna got a cool ride along wagon that wasn't assembled so doubled as a teeter tooter. She also got a plush red chair that she loves to sit (or stand in). More elmos here and there in the forms of books, music...you name it!
