Birthday Weekend at the Lake

On Anna's Birthday, Anna & I stayed overnight at Kristin's house so I could take her to dance class & her best friend from day care Emily's birthday party. Both were lots of fun. Anna got to throw paint at Emily's party which she thought was so fun. My sister had a migraine so we ended up taking her to the dr. before heading to the doctor. Thankfully, she got something that made her feel a little bit better, but not good enough to go to the lake with us. We arrived at the lake around 5 and the roofing job was mostly done, thanks to lots of help from my cousins, cousins-in-law, and Rhonda & Wayne. They did such a great job re-roofing our garage. After a spaghetti dinner & birthday cake, Anna was able to open her present (but keep in mind that was way past her regular bed time). Here's Smokey & Alex cuddling

Anna got a new quilt for her big girl bed from my mom. She loved it and wanted to sleep with it right then!

And, Kiki sent her gift. A few days before Anna's birthday, she told me she wanted a princess party (which I wasn't aware of before then). So, kristin got her a princess costume. Anna loved dressing up a princess and waving her wand everywhere.
