We headed up to Deer Lake after Katelyn's party. Pam & Dick, Grandma, Kristin, Katie & Smokey and Tim & Kate were all there...everyone except Jodi & Jeremy (who were in Costa Rica enjoying their honeymoon, and don't live here!). Alex enjoyed his first trip to Deer Lake, and took over sleeping in the closet. We were able to fit another pack & play into our room with Kristin so Anna was able to sleep in our room too...unfortunately that means she wakes up at Alex's 2nd wake up call, which was 7:30. The whole cabin wasn't far behind. Sunday, Alex & Anna wore their matching "Someone in Hastings, MN loves me" shirts from the Andrews family.
Anna had her first boat ride for the season and enjoyed the ride.
She also enjoyed watching Smokey & Katie fish on daddy's lap
and sweeping the deck (my broom, she says).
We also buried Buster's ashes in the Eagle Ridge memorial garden, next to the fountain that was purchased in memory of my dad. Saturday night, we had a trip to Dairy Queen to celebrate his life. Anna had her first ice cream cone and did quite well eating it!
