North Shore
Paul, Anna and I headed up to Maren's cabin this weekend with Docia in the Benson mini-van. We enjoyed the fall colors, but it was very cold & dreary. It didn't stop us from doing what we wanted to do--hiking, eating (at Angry Trout, Sven & Oles, and Worlds greatest donuts in Grand Marais), and playing farkel. On the way up, we stopped at Dairy Queen. Anna liked her ice cream treat!
Saturday, we went to Cascade Park--quite a site with all the water.
We then headed to Grand Marais for lunch at Angry Trout, shopped in town and decided to go up to Grand Portage.
The cutest picture of Anna is when we got back to Maren's cabin is Anna breaking free during a diaper change. Notice the one sock.
Sunday, we took another hike at Oberon mountain. Not very good overlooks, but still fun. Paul's back gave out during the hike and he was in charge of carting around Anna, so luckily auntie Maren & Docia were there to help carry the load. Here's pictures of some fall colors, and Anna checking out the leaves.
