Another weekend. Another opportunity to go the lake. We haven't missed many chances to go since we're going to be gone for 3 weekends (leaving July 9-24th!). We went to Deer Lake Friday with Paul & Kristin, with a stop at Paninos for dinner. It was heavily pouring that night, but we managed to get in and eat and send Paul into Cub for donuts on the way. My mom was waiting for us up there and Katie & Smokey joined us (as did Tim & Kate for a while on Saturday-Sunday).
Saturday morning, we thought there was a 10:30 showing of Toy Story 3 so we all got ready in 10 minutes (Anna even skipped breakfast) to get up to the movie theater in time. We were sadly disappointed to find out that I had the wrong theater and the movies weren't starting until after lunch. I had broken both my kids hearts. So, we ventured over to Walmart for shopping and had lunch outside courtesy of the rotary. 
Went back the cabin for some rest (or fun on the boat if you're Anna, Katie & Kristin or kayaking if you're Paul & Julie). Then, we went to the 3:30 showing of the movie. Alex loved his first movie and Anna was completely mesmerized with it. Alex pooped out with about 20 minutes to spare, but just walked back and forth between all the people and mooched as much diet coke as he could from everyone. Here's the kids before the movie. Of course, pinky and tiger had to join us!!! 
And, all in between all this fun--we managed to just get some good quality cabin time in....Kiki doing Anna's nails and Daddy teaching Alex to golf. Anna loved jumping off the boat and swimming both days and Alex loves to play on the deck in the car and stay away from the lake as far as possible. We'll get him trained one day, right?
